The story of this project begins with the homeowner's decision to construct a residence near their own factory. The site started as a row of four two-story townhouses. Upon merging them, it yielded an interior space of 8541 sqft. Beyond the necessary modifications to the aging exterior and structural enhancements, the addition of a rooftop space was included. This rooftop sanctuary provides an entirely private haven for the master and mistress of the house. Lying in bed offers views of the tree-lined Green Park Avenue and a beautifully landscaped private rooftop rose garden.Inside, a central corridor mediates between the indoors and outdoors, with specific spaces delineated or separated. Like dressing rooms in fashion stores, a French Ligne Roset bench sofa is placed in the center, while a bathroom designed in the style of a villa (by Philippe Starck for Villeroy & Boch) basks in sunlight. The main bedroom, equipped with large windows, offers an opportunity to admire the night view. Each of these spaces is connected to separate audiovisual living areas. On the second floor, an expansive hall enjoys an open visual concept and flow. A German Leicht-designed open-plan kitchen (as the homeowner enjoys cooking and wine tasting) is the centerpiece. Complementary designs accommodate both quiet reading areas and dynamic entertainment zones. This floor fulfills the homeowner's and visitors' social needs, providing a space for preparing meals and afternoon tea. The panoramic windows offer views of lush greenery. The first floor is dedicated to parking for both visitors and the homeowners. In summary, this design affords the homeowner a resplendent atmosphere right beside their factory, with the added ability to receive friends and family within their spacious and beautifully crafted residence.
