A physician who once served as the head of the pulmonology department, after retiring from surgery, took up writing. In the past, he brought joy and health to his patients through his medical skills; now, he finds immense satisfaction in readers opening their hearts through his writing. To have more time for reading and meditation, this doctor-turned-writer chose to renovate a two-story house, creating his own work and living space. He spends most of his time in his study, so a quiet and private environment was essential. Dividing the two floors into contrasting spaces of tranquility and vibrancy perfectly suited his needs. Having studied in Japan and cherishing childhood memories of living in a traditional Japanese house, he favored a minimalist Japanese design, focusing on creating a warm, wooden atmosphere. This project was born from this.
