DEVELOPING LAND TO BUILD HOUSE

This case is indeed challenging because it requires planning both a dental clinic and residential space on a narrow and elongated site. It is crucial to ensure that the architectural and interior designs seamlessly integrate to realize the vision of the dentist-owner. Here are the key points for our space design:
Narrow Site: Due to the narrow site, the designer needs to maximize the use of the limited space to ensure that all areas are fully functional. This might require well-designed furniture and design elements to save space while maintaining comfort.
Entrance with Electric Garage Door: Having an electric garage door is a great design feature. However, given the limited width of the building (only 4 meters), it's essential to consider the operation of the mechanical parking system to ensure smooth parking of vehicles. Additionally, the aesthetics and design of the entrance should be considered.
Distinguishing Clinic and Residential Areas: Designing the clinic on the first and second floors and the residence on the third to sixth floors requires a clear distinction between these two areas to ensure privacy. This can be achieved through the clever use of materials, colors, and layout.
Elevator and Staircase Design: When designing the elevator and staircase, it's important to consider how to differentiate between private residential access and the route for clients to the clinic. This might include the design of security gates, access control systems, or other safety measures.
Natural Lighting: Since there are windows only at the front, it's crucial to make the most of this natural lighting to ensure bright interior spaces. Skylights, reflective materials, and proper lighting design can enhance light distribution.
Surrounding Environment: The presence of greenery and a river in front of the building offers a beautiful environment that can be integrated into the design. For example, large windows or balconies can be designed to allow residents to enjoy the picturesque views.
This design project requires the comprehensive consideration of various factors, including space planning, functional requirements, privacy, lighting, and landscape, to ensure that the final design can realize the dentist-owner's vision while providing a high-quality living and working environment. Therefore, the creativity and problems solving skills of the design team will play a crucial role.
